For National Vietnam War Veterans Day, officially recognized on March 29th every year, Hospice of Cincinnati honored Veteran patients who served in the United States Armed Forces from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location. Vietnam Veteran patients were presented with Grateful American Coin challenge coins, thank you cards, and patriotic quilt medallions sewn by both hospice and community volunteers. Team members provide individual recognition ceremonies to Vietnam Era patients as they are admitted to the program, honoring them with the Vietnam Veteran lapel pin and certificate.
Also recognized, at events throughout the year, are HOC’s Veteran Volunteers who served during Vietnam. As Commemorative Partners for the United States of America Vietnam War 50th Commemoration, Hospice of Cincinnati joins the Nation to thank all Vietnam Veterans for their service and sacrifice.
