What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is medical care that focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness with the goal of improving quality of life. Palliative care addresses emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, as well as the needs of the family, while following your set goals and wishes for care. Palliative Care can be offered along with curative or other treatments you may be receiving.

We offer home-based palliative care that is tailored to each person’s needs, so it looks a little different for each one. After receiving a community physician referral, a PalliaCare Cincinnati nurse practitioner will make a home visit to determine a plan of care. You and your care team will determine the frequency of future visits
