This positon works for Hospice of Cincinnati’s West Home/LTC Team Monday-Friday PRN/Optional 8-hr days, no weekend/holiday. Mileage reimbursed. Seeking a flexible-team-member and adaptive learner who is motivated by mission driven excellence. Having a “can-do / whatever-it-takes” attitude is essential.This position visits patients and families in their homes and longterm care settings throughout the WEST region of Hospice of Cincinnati. This is a patient centered and family focused team.
Previous hospice experience is a plus.
REGISTERED NURSE-STAFF-PNR: This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families. The position also collaborates, in a collegial manner, with physicians and other health care team members in meeting the patient’s needs. This position may delegate certain aspects of care to those under their direct supervision, within the scope of nursing practice. Nurses in this position are: – newly licensed RNs in specialty areas where the Vizient PNR Program is a requirement and – RNs with less than 1 year full time acute care RN experience prior to entering their RN role at TriHealth or – RNs with less than 2 years part time acute care RN experience prior to entering their RN role at TriHealth They are enrolled in and required to complete the Vizient Professional Nurse Residency program. The nurse will be moved to the Registerd Nurse – Staff position upon completion of all PNR program requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree or Diploma Nursing Required to complete all elements of the TriHealth Vizient Professional Nurse Residency Program within 1 year. New hires to obtain their BSN within 5 years of hire.Other Preferrred Certification in specialty / related organization BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare ProvidersRegistered Nurse

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge, judgment and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle. .
