Caring for a Loved One

If you are caring for someone who is receiving hospice care, there will be times when you are uncertain about what you’re supposed to do or how to do it.

Your care team from Hospice of Cincinnati will train you on a variety of caregiving matters such as what to do for pain, trouble breathing, constipation and anxiety. We will also train you to meet the personal care needs of the patient, how to safely move and transfer your loved one, and how to work with special equipment and carry out procedures.

However, sometimes it helps to have a set of instructions at hand, just in case you need something to refer to.

If you need further support or ever have questions or concerns, call a hospice nurse at (513) 891-7700. A member of our team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
